Trekking: Exploring the island by foot is the best way to see Pulau Sibu. Take the 20-minute jungle trek (between rooms 8 & 9) to Sea Gypsy Village where you can stop for a drink and enjoy an ice cream.
The jungle path is suitable for adults and children but can be slippery after it has rained. It is a relatively easy walk but it does involve some climbing, so please do wear flip-flops or trainers.
If you are wanting to walk to the village (about one hour from Rimba) follow the path to Sea Gypsy and, once there, head right (if facing the sea) all the way along the beach, where you will pass two abandoned resorts, until you reach the rocks. Over and across the rocks is Sari Pacifica Resort. From there, walk through the resort and turn left and you’ll reach the Imam’s house.
The Imam is the religious leader of the village. You will know it is his house as there are lots of cats and a big concrete lion statue!
From there, just follow the concrete path all the way to the village. Take some Ringgits with you so you can buy a snack or a drink in the village shop.
Diving and Snorkelling trips: Hi-Tide Divers offers daily snorkelling and dive trips to the neighbouring deserted islands. Please have a chat with our dive team for more information.
Snorkelling on our house reef: Right in front of the resort is our house reef – home to colourful coral and a wide array of fish. You can rent snorkelling equipment from the Dive Centre and head out on your own to explore the reef. Life jackets are also available at the dive centre.
Kayaks/Paddleboard: On either side of Rimba’s bay are two small private beaches – definitely worth a look.
If you are feeling extra energetic, you can even kayak to Sea Gypsy, this should take about 20 minutes. For the most adventurous of guests, you can even kayak around the island!
Bamboo Bliss Spa: Located right at the end of the beach overlooking the ocean, this tranquil hideaway allows our therapists to pamper you whilst you relax, or even fall asleep, to the sounds of the waves.
The Bar: The bar is open from 8.30am until the last guest goes to bed. However you are more than welcome to relax at the bar or deck before it is opened.
Bar Games: We have a selection of bar games, please feel free to ask our bar team for these.
Beach Volleyball: Our beach volleyball net is located just a stone throw away from the bar. Please ask our dive team for the ball.
